Spain : Park Güell in Barcelona

The Living Stones of Park Guell

Walking along the winding paths of Park Guell in Barcelona, the curved stone columns remind me of palm trees swaying gently in the breeze. These pillars are built from stones, rocks, and fragments excavated right from the site, reflecting Gaudi's iconic approach to blur the line between nature and human creation.

They aren't just decorative--they support the hillside and the sloping walkways, allowing the paths to gracefully follow the natural curves of the land.

As I slowly stroll beneath these stone pillars, it feels as if I have become one of those stones myself. In that quiet moment, I imagine pulling out the fragments of my own inner self, laying them gently under the warm sunlight to dry.

For a while, I become one with nature, the park, and the peaceful harmony that surrounds me.
